Knights' Southpaw Jace Fry of Southridge High Earns Oregon All-Star Series MVP Honors.

Corvallis Knights' southpaw Jace Fry of Southridge High School led the North to a three-game sweep of the South this past weekend at Goss Stadium in the Reser's Oregon All-Star Series.

Fry was selected in the 9th round of the 2011 MLB June draft by the Oakland A's. If he doesn't sign, Jace is committed to Oregon State University.

The two-way player from Beaverton, Oregon was outstanding as a pitcher, defensively and offensively in his current and possible future home - Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. His performance earned him MVP honors.

The North won the Series opener 4-0, with Fry getting the win, and swept Sunday's doubleheader 10-7 and 6-4 before 677 fans.

Fry's Southridge teammate, catcher Jake Azevedo (pictured sliding home on Saturday), was named the North's Most Outstanding Player.
