Corvallis Hires The Brooks Group to Manage Knights Advertising.

Corvallis Knights team president Dan Segel announced that the club has hired The Brooks Group to manage the team's advertising for the 2008 season.

Owner Brian Brooks will develop the club's media schedule, buy media, direct creative and cultivate advertising relationships with traditional media partners like the Gazette-Times, Bicoastal Media and Extra Mile Media.

"Putting Brian in charge of advertising is going to help us increase awareness in the Mid-Valley and maximize our marketing budget," said Segel. "He knows the market and has worked both at the paper and in radio here. Brian has a good feel of what works and we're confident he'll do a great job for the Knights."

In other news, the Corvallis Knights are sold out. Team President Dan Segel announced that all the team's 2008 promotional nights are now sponsored as 7stones, a world class spa that recently opened in downtown Corvallis, is sponsoring the ZOOperstars! return to Goss Stadium (July 31) and Jones Soda is presenting Movie Night (August 9).

"Selling out these nights, it says a lot about the excitement for the upcoming season, the new stadium and genuine enthusiasm for good old fashioned entertainment," said Segel. The Knights have added over 20 new advertisers including Strega, 7stones, Jones Soda, Reser's Fine Foods, DIRECTV, Hurley Financial Group, Corvallis Family Medicine, Relco Truss, Santiam Christain Schools and Papa's Pizza Parlor.

In addition, over 30 inaugural sponsors renewed this year including Wilson Motors, Knight Financial, BI-MART, OSU Federal Credit Union, Pepsi, Nike, Pioneer Telephone, Peak Internet, Linn-Benton Tractor, Town & Country Realty, Global Communications, Timberhill Athletic Club and the Inkwell Home Store.

"We are proud to be a sponsor of the Corvallis Knights and are looking forward to another great season. Last summer's Wilson Motors Night was a big hit with our employees. The park was packed and that was exciting," said Wilson Motors Sales Manager Dave Domholt.

Per Segel, the team's advertising sales have increased by 46% in year two. "I credit Doug Blair and Jennifer Hammack for much of this year's growth. Both are selling for the club and both are doing a fantastic job engaging with new customers," said Segel.

Speaking of the club's sponsor partners Segel said, "We are proud of these business relationships and committed to enhancing them."

"We'll grow together."

"Businesses can leverage this venue either to entertain or advertise, or both. Ballparks are a tried and true place to reach local consumers and a fun way to market."

"The Mid-Valley is fortunate to have this here in Corvallis. The park is truly a community treasure just waiting to be found."

Last but not least, Antares Advanced Test Technologies of Vancouver, Washington recently donated 100 GA Tickets to Boys & Girls Club of Albany. Antares Advanced Test Technologies Marketing Manager Susan McDowell has teamed up with the Corvallis Knights to offer Boys & Girls Club of Albany kids another fun and positive activity to enjoy this summer.

Antares contributed $500 towards tickets for the Boys & Girls Club of Albany thanks in large part to the company's marketing manager Susan McDowell. Susan graduated from Oregon State University in 1998 and is big fan of baseball and the Beavers.

"We're pleased to support the Corvallis Knights and help get more kids to Goss Stadium. We hope donating tickets to the Boys & Girls Club of Albany will introduce its members to another positive activity and a special place that's nurturing and fun - the ballpark," said McDowell.
