Casey Grogan: What has your experience been like with the Knights thus far?
Nick Hoover : "It's been great. I haven't been able to throw a lot of innings because of injuries but it's been good to get that extra work in that I didn't get to have during the season."

CG: What is the most memorable ballpark that you have played in? Why?
NH: "Probably last season we played at Minute Maid Park in (Houston) Texas. They treated us like big leaguers, it was real cool."

CG: What is your favorite professional sports team? And who is your favorite professional athlete?
NH: "Team would be the Yankees and favorite athlete would be Alex Rodriguez."

CG: What is your favorite thing about Irvine?
NH: "Being five minutes away from the beach. That's the only good thing about it."

CG: What has been the most memorable moment of your baseball career?
NH: "Starting my first game out in Hawaii for Irvine. I wasn't expecting it and it was good things."

CG: Who is your greatest influence in baseball?
NH: "My high school coach. My freshman year was his first year there at varsity and we could grow up together. He taught me a lot."
