Casey Grogan: What has your experience been like with the Knights thus far?
John Desmarais: "I think it's been a great experience. All of our coaches are really into it and are all really good coaches. They care about what's going on."

CG: What is the most memorable ballpark that you have played in? Why?
JD: "One big one was in seventh grade, we actually came down here [to Goss Stadium] and I pitched in a tournament here."

CG: What is your favorite professional sports team?
JD: "Right now I'd probably say the Tampa Bay Rays, just because of that run they made with all those young guys proving themselves. They weren't real big name guys so it was really cool to see."

CG: What is your favorite thing about Pullman?
JD: "It's really a small town and everyone is young. You go to the store and it's just kids. It's just got a real college feel to it. It's also close enough to home that you can drive home."

CG: What has been the most memorable moment of your baseball career?
JD: "Getting my first hit as a freshman. My first hit was a triple."

CG: Who is your greatest influence in baseball?
JD: "My dad. I've been hurt on and off for two years, even when I'm not playing he drives five-hours across the state to watch all of our home games. He's always asking about it and wants to talk baseball."
