Casey Grogan: What has your experience been like with the Knights thus far?
Adam Melker: "Love it. It's been good, the guys took me in like I wasn't two months late. It's been awesome."
CG: What is the most memorable ballpark that you have played in? Why?
AM: "I played in a ballpark when I was in the Chicago-Illinois league, I can't remember the exact name of it. It was where A League of Their Own was filmed. It was just a cool old-school stadium."
CG: What is your favorite professional sports team? And who is your favorite professional athlete?
AM: "The Los Angeles Dodgers. I've got a few (Dodgers) favorites, I've got a Matt Kemp (outfielder), I've got a Manny Ramirez (outfielder) and I've got a Casey Blake (third baseman). They just come as one, one package."
CG: What is your favorite thing about San Luis Obispo?
AM: "Being by the beach and the weather, it's great."
CG: What has been the most memorable moment of your baseball career?
AM: "Making it to the regional with Cal Poly this last season for the first time."
CG: Who is your greatest influence in baseball?
AM: "My dad and my mom because they played catch with me when I was younger and got me started in the sport. Also, my little league and high school coach Kevin Gross. He was a big leaguer, just a real knowledgeable guy and made me love the game."
