Richie Jimenez - Infielder - # 5

Riverside CC

Casey Grogan: What has your experience been like with the Knights thus far?
Richie Jimenez: "So far so good. Similar to last season's team, but it's a different ball club. It's been good, everyone is fun to be around.

CG: What is the most memorable ballpark that you have played in? Why?
RJ: "I would have to say this one (Goss Stadium). The field, the fans and the infield is like playing on carpet. It's a lot of fun."

CG: What is your favorite professional sports team? And who is your favorite professional athlete?
RJ: "I'm a Dodger fan, but my favorite professional athlete is Derek Jeter. I like the way he plays and handles himself on and off the field."

CG: What is your favorite thing about Riverside?
RJ: "Riverside was good for me for two years. I didn't live out of there, I still lived at my house so I wasn't there a whole lot, but it was good for the most part."

CG: What has been the most memorable moment of your baseball career?
RJ: "Probably catching the last out in last year's (WCL) championship. I've won a lot of championships when I was younger, but nothing recently or as big as last year's. Just to catch that last out, dog pile and spend time with a bunch of guys we had last year was a lot of fun."

CG: Who is your greatest influence in baseball?
RJ: "My parents, my mom and my dad, my dad through just work ethic and my mom teaching me to have a positive attitude and a positive mindset through everything. They've been the most positive influences in my career."
