Cal Poly

Casey Grogan: What has your experience been like with the Knights thus far?
DJ Gentile: "It's just been an awesome experience. Coming from (the Alaska League) you didn't get the crowds and the great atmosphere we get here. So far it has just been awesome, it's been a great experience and I can't wait to finish up the rest of the summer."

CG: What is the most memorable ballpark that you have played in? Why?
DG: "Probably my freshman year of high school I played in the Oakland Coliseum where the A's play. It is the only major league ballpark I've ever played in."

CG: What is your favorite professional sports team? And who is your favorite professional athlete?
DG: "San Francisco Giants and favorite athlete would have to be Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic."

CG: What is your favorite thing about San Luis Obispo?
DG: "The beach is five minutes away."

CG: What has been the most memorable moment of your baseball career?
DG: "Probably this past year our Cal Poly team was the first Cal Poly team in history to make a regional."

CG: Who is your greatest influence in baseball?
DG: "My dad, he is the one that got me involved. He's my biggest fan and has always been there, it's got to be him."
