Casey Grogan: What has your experience been like with the Knights thus far?
Dustin Emmons: "So far, to be honest, this is probably the best team I've ever played on. Right when I got here on the bus I didn't know what to expect, but by the second game I got to know the guys and they welcomed me with open arms. It's a good atmosphere to play in up here and right from the get-go it was 100-percent, work hard and everyone plays the game the right way."

CG: What is the most memorable ballpark that you have played in? Why?
DE: "That's tough, but I'm going to give credit to Oregon State. They won two national championships in '06 and '07. This is the field where the championships were made, so I would say this one (Goss Stadium) so far."

CG: What is your favorite professional sports team? And who is your favorite professional athlete?
DE: "Sports team, we're going to have to go with the (Los Angeles) Dodgers. Favorite player is (Hall of Fame pitcher) Nolan Ryan."

CG: What is your favorite thing about Riverside?
DE: "The heat, I love the heat. I just can't take the cold."

CG: What has been the most memorable moment of your baseball career?
DE: "Probably winning the 16-19 Babe Ruth All Stars. We won it back-to-back years. The first year we lost the first game, and it's double elimination, so we ran the table after that. The last year we beat everyone, but two in a row is pretty awesome."

CG: Who is your greatest influence in baseball?
DE: "My dad Bruce Carrico. He's taught me everything I know and he is a great role model who leads by example."
