Taylor Ard - First Baseman - # 40

Mt. Hood CC

Casey Grogan: What has your experience been like with the Knights thus far?
Taylor Ard: "It's been great especially getting ready to come to Oregon State next year. It's kind of good to get to play on the field and get to know some of the other kids on the team."

CG: What is the most memorable ballpark that you have played in? Why?
TA: "I played in Peoria (Ariz.) at the spring training complex for the Mariners and Padres. I kind of liked doing that, I was in a home run derby there and since the Mariners are my favorite team it was kind of nice to play on their field."

CG: What is your favorite professional sports team? And who is your favorite professional athlete? TA: "The Seattle Mariners and I'm an Albert Pujols fan."

CG: What is your favorite thing about Gresham?
TA: "It's kind of close to Portland and my hometown so I could kind of commute back and forth. I could balance out baseball and go to Blazer games. It's kind of in the middle of a lot of things to do."

CG: What has been the most memorable moment of your baseball career?
TA: "This past season when I got the MVP of the NWAACC."

CG: Who is your greatest influence in baseball?
TA: "Probably my parents. They've always helped me with whatever I need, taking me to games and helping me with anything I wanted baseball wise."
