The Corvallis Knights will have the J Team.

The Knights have hired Oregon State students (pictured left-right) Jenna Fischer, Janae Brazell, Jessica Lam, Justine Ekman and Jillian Rubin as their merchandise interns for the 2013 season, general manager Bre Kerkvliet announced.

"We are very excited to have another awesome group of young women who are eager to join the hometown team," Kerkvliet said. "They will get an opportunity to help design, market and sell our new merchandise for the 2013 season."

Merchandise interns also organize and set up the displays; order and inventory merchandise, and process all transactions. Last year's interns helped the club set a franchise sales record.

"Having our interns involved in all levels brought a fresh, new approach to our merchandising process," Kerkvliet added. "They bring creativity and a trendier, hipper style that is more appealing to our fans."

This year's OSU interns are:

* Senior Janae Brazell, a 2009 Tualatin High School graduate majoring in merchandise management. She is an officer in the OSU Fashion Organization, directed the OSU Recycle Fashion Show, and was a cheerleader from 2009-11. She also cheered at Tualatin High and for Style Shock Competitive Cheer.

* Junior Jillian Rubin, a 2010 graduate of San Marino (Calif.) High School, majoring in business marketing and merchandise management. She is a member of the OSU Marching Band, the Marketing Club and Kappa Sigma sorority. In high school she played soccer and softball and was on the dance team and in the marching band.

* Junior Justine Ekman of Beaverton, a 2010 Southridge High School graduate majoring in merchandise management with a business and entrepreneurship minor. She is a member of the TriDelta Women's fraternity, a contributing editor for DAMchic Magazine (a new fashion publication at OSU) and the secretary of the OSU Fashion Organization. She rode on the equestrian team for three years and played softball for two years at Southridge.

* Senior Jessica Lam, a 2010 Springfield High School graduate majoring in merchandise management with a business and entrepreneurship minor. An employee in retail sales since she was 16, she is a College of Business Dean's Scholar, and was a member of the National Honor Society at Springfield High.
