Corvallis Pitcher Slater Lee of Cal Poly Earns All-Star Spot.

Corvallis Knights pitcher Slater Lee was selected to participate in the 2015 WCL All-Star Game to be held Monday, July 20th at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham.Lee was also named WCL co-Player of the Week today for the week of July 6-12.
The junior-to-be right-hander from Carlsbad, California tossed a complete game shutout on July 10 vs. Kitsap.
He shared West Coast League Player of the Week honors with Central Arizona College pitcher Dakody Clemmer of the Knights who twirled a shutout the night prior.
Both home games were 1-0 Corvallis victories. Lee allowed four hits, walked none and struck out 3.
Slater is 1-0 with a 2.14 over 6 appearances, 4 starts and 29.1 innings pitched for the Knights this summer.
South Division-leading Bend (27-6) placed 8 players on the South roster. Lee was the Knights' sole all-star. The entire Corvallis coaching staff, led by skipper Brooke Knight, will manage the South.
Corvallis placed 5 players in the WCL All-Star Game in 2014 and 2013; 7 in 2012; 9 in 2011; 8 in 2008; 5 in 2007 and 6 in 2006. The league did not hold an All-Star Game in 2009 and 2010.
