Friends of Baseball and the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis are teaming up to host the Friends of Baseball Corvallis Coaches Clinic featuring legendary baseball coach Dave Gasser (pictured).
The clinic is set for Saturday, March 17 and scheduled to run from 1-5 pm at the club, located at 1112 NW Circle Boulevard in Corvallis.
The clinic is open to all youth baseball and softball coaches in Oregon and Washington. The guest speaker is the state's all-time winningest high school baseball coach Dave Gasser, who won 635 games and state titles with Madison (1981), Lakeridge (1999, 2001) and Astoria (2006, 2009).
Gasser is currently the athletic director at Westside Christian, a 3A high school relocating to Tigard, Oregon.
There will be four sessions: choreographing defensive and offensive baseball; top drills for defense and offense; practice organization and what coaches need to know, and a Q&A period with an emphasis on what has challenged your team or league.
Registration is $15 for individual coaches; leagues can register for $50 so all their coaches can attend.
Pre-registration is encouraged and can be done online by clicking here. League registration closes on March 14. For more information, write [email protected] or visit FriendsofBaseball.org.
Gasser presented earlier this year in Portland before an audience that exceeded 200 youth coaches.
