The Corvallis Knights held their fifth annual FREE baseball clinic at Goss Stadium on Saturday, June 30th.135 campers enjoyed a morning of fun with Knights' players and coaches.
The clinic is a cooperative effort between the Corvallis Knights; the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany, Corvallis and Lebanon; Philomath Youth Activities Club; and Starker Forests.
Kids ages 5-14 rotated through 12 stations manned by Knights' players and coaches.
Campers got to interact with the entire Corvallis team.
"This is an opportunity for kids to get up close and personal with our student-athletes and to get down on the field at Goss," said team president Dan Segel. "It's a thrill for our guys and for the campers. We consider this one of the highlights of the season."
"We want to show kids how much fun they can have with the game. This is also a chance for kids to start a relationship with the players and teams. It's a lot of fun for everyone."
The clinic finished with a Q&A session with the players, and all the campers went home with a pouch of Big League Chew.
