Corvallis Knights Partner with Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis.

The Corvallis Knights and the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis announced an exciting new partnership to kick-off this month. The partner agreement calls for the Knights to offer its student-athletes as volunteers this summer and the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis (BGCC) to act as an authorized Corvallis Knights season ticket reseller.

Beginning next week, the Boys & Girls Club will start marketing and selling Knights season tickets. The Corvallis Knights will donate 50% of all BGCC sales to Corvallis's positive place for kids. Visit bgccorvallis.org for more information.

Come summer, a variety of Knights will make regular visits to the BGCC's Clubhouse just off 9th and Circle Blvd. The players will assist staff members, help supervise activities and interact with the club's school-age youth.

"As a youth development organization we are thrilled to have the student-athletes interact with our Clubhouse members to see first hand how hard work and dedication to a passion can change your life," said BGCC CEO Helen Higgins.

The partnership also features Boys & Girls Club Public Safety Night scheduled for Thursday, July 26 at Goss Stadium. It is a show and tell with local police, fire and medical professionals. The Corvallis Knights donated 100 tickets to the BGCC for this special evening of discovery and fun.

"We feel this partnership has great potential. Our kids will probably get just as much out of this as the youngsters benefiting from their mentorship. It's a total win-win for us and we believe we can help the Boys & Girls Club develop its young people and also generate unplanned revenues through season ticket sales," said Corvallis Knights president Dan Segel.

The Corvallis Knights of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League open their inaugural wood bat season in Corvallis June 14 at OSU's Goss Stadium vs. the Bend Elks. The team has scheduled 26 home dates and will feature many of the West's top prospects, four up and coming Oregon State Beavers and a full slate of promotions including an appearance by the world famous ZOOperstars June 19 and a Fireworks Extravaganza July 3. Season tickets are $100 and individual game tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children & seniors. For more information on the Knights visit the club's website at corvallisknights.com.
