Knights Announce 2014 Promotional Schedule.
March 18, 2014ZOOperstars! to Return
Three fireworks nights, another visit by the popular ZOOperstars!, the return of Cowbell and Cap nights and two $1,000 Kids Dash for Cash events highlight the promotional schedule for the eighth season of Corvallis Knights baseball at Goss Stadium.
Add five Block 15 Thursdays; two Bi-Mart $2 Tuesdays, Nike Night, tee-shirt and baseball giveaway nights and many other theme nights and there is plenty of fun planned for Knights' games at Goss Stadium throughout the summer.
Those attractions, and many others, comprise the promotional schedule the Knights unveiled on Tuesday. They open the season on June 4 with a nonconference home game against the Portland Sea Dogs on PEAK Internet Science, Engineering & Art Day, presented by the OSU Colleges of Science and Engineering.
As is customary, the brightest star in the promotional galaxy is the team's July 2 OSU Federal Credit Union Fireworks Night game against Medford, a rite of summer in the mid-valley. The last five holiday Fireworks Nights were sellouts, and the 2009 edition drew a franchise-record crowd of 3,506 fans.
"We've lined up a robust promotional schedule that provides night after night of entertainment," Knights' president Dan Segel said. "The ZOOperstars! and fireworks are fun for the entire family, and our fans can help create even more fun and memories on our various theme nights.
"They're just part of a lineup that should make 2014 another great summer in Corvallis and make Goss Stadium the summer destination for fans throughout the Mid-Valley. We remain dedicated to providing great entertainment and affordable family fun."
Fans can now secure the very best reserved seats in section B for all three fireworks shows by purchasing the Knights' new Fun for $81 reserved mini-plan. The package includes 10 games spread across the summer from Opening Night to the regular season finale Fireworks Night for only $81. For more info, click here and to order now click here.
The first Fireworks Night, presented by Samaritan Health Services, is planned for Saturday, June 14, when the Knights host Walla Walla. The third Fireworks Night, sponsored by PEAK Internet and Pioneer Telephone, is set for the Aug. 7 home regular-season finale against Bend.
All 32 home dates (32 games) have a promotional tie-in, from giveaways to the appearance by the ZOOperstars! to reduced admission to special reduced concession prices on food and drinks, or a combination of the aforementioned.
"Everyone can find something special at the ballpark every night, throughout the summer," Segel said.
The team's annual free youth clinic, sponsored by Starker Forests and the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis, is set for 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 21.
