Fan Vote Earns Corvallis First Baseman Sean Myrom of Concordia Spot on WCL West All-Star Roster.

Corvallis Knights first baseman Sean Myrom was named a West Coast League all-star after winning a vote of the fans. He will play for the West Division in the midsummer classic, set for 7:15 p.m. July 26 at Goss Stadium.

A senior-to-be at Concordia University in Portland, Myrom received 756,232 votes in balloting conducted online, at Goss Stadium and at The Glass Man.

The right-handed hitting slugger is batting .298 over 34 games and 104 at bats, with 10 doubles, one homer and 33 RBIs.

Brooke Knight (pictured) of the Corvallis Knights will manage the West Division all-stars, as the Knights led the division at this morning's cutoff date with a 22-13 record.

Wenatchee's Ed Knaggs will manage the East Division stars.

Every team had one player chosen by fan voting; the remaining all-stars were selected by major-league scouts and the WCL's managers. Each division's complete 21-man roster will be announced on Tuesday, July 19.

The WCL All-Star Game is being revived after a two-year hiatus. Sponsored by PEAK Internet, it will also feature a pre-game Home Run Derby and postgame fireworks display.
