Frosh right-hander Jerad Thompson of Mt. Hood CC earned WCCBL co-Player of the Week honors for June 14-17.T hompson shined in his first WCCBL start taking a no-hitter into the eighth inning vs. Bend last Friday night. Thompson tossed 7 2/3 innings and only allowed a single hit while striking out 8 improving his record to 2-0. He has yet to allow an earned run over two starts and 14 2/3 innings. The Churchill High School product has walked 4 and struckout 10 and the opposition is hitting a paltry .146 vs. Thompson.Brooks Hatch of the Gazette-Times named the Knights pitching staff the G-T Knights Player of the Week. Knights pitching allowed only one run during the entire Bend series as Corvallis swept the Elks. The first G-T Player of the Week selection was Jake Roy of Dakota Wesleyan University.
