Corvallis Knights GM Bre Kerkvliet announced the team's lineup of merchandise interns for the 2014 season including Joe Jaeger, Jessica Frye, Alexa Chappell and Veronica Carava (pictured, l-r).

"We are very excited to have another awesome group of students who are eager to join the hometown team," Kerkvliet said. "They will get an opportunity to help design, market and sell our new merchandise for the 2014 season."

Merchandise interns organize and set up the displays; order and inventory merchandise, and process all transactions.

"Having our interns involved in all levels has generated a fresh, new approach to our merchandising process," Kerkvliet added. "They bring creativity and a trendier, hipper style that is more appealing to our fans."

Past merchandise interns have gone on to full-time jobs with Burlington Coat Factory, the Portland Timbers, Adidas, the Inkwell, and other businesses.

This year's interns are:

* Senior Joe Jaeger, a 2009 graduate of Regis High School in Stayton, where he played football, basketball, track and golf. He is majoring in Merchandising Management and will graduate in fall, 2014.

* Junior Alexa Chappell, a 2011 graduate of Gladstone High in Gladstone, Ore., where she played basketball, volleyball and ultimate Frisbee. A member of the Delta Gamma sorority, she expects to graduate in 2015 with a Merchandising Management major and a Business and Entrepreneurship minor.

* Junior Jessica Frye, a Portland native who graduated from Beaverton High in 2011. She played, coached and officiated volleyball in high school and is a member of the Tri Delta sorority and the secretary of the Fashion Organization at OSU. A Merchandise Management major, she expects to graduate in 2015.

* Junior Veronica Cavara, a 2009 graduate of Modesto (Calif.) High School, where she played varsity and club soccer and was the sports editor of her yearbook as a senior. She attended the University of Hawaii before transferring to Oregon State in 2012. A Merchandising Management major, she expects to graduate in 2015. She was an active member of Girl Scouts as a youth and enjoys volunteer activities.
