Eleven Corvallis Players Earn All-WCL Honors.

The WCL champion Corvallis Knights placed eleven players on the All-West Coast League teams as announced by West Coast League president Ken Wilson today.WCL saves leader Mark Trentacosta of UC Irvine earned first-team All-WCL honors as did senior-to-be catcher Corey Davis of Wright State and shortstop Trent Oleszczuk (pictured) of Seattle University.
Trentacosta, a redshirt junior-to-be, registered 11 saves including two in the post-season while Davis led the Knights in hitting with a .317 WCL batting average (fifth in the league) and Oleszczuk led Corvallis in walks (32) and hit-by-pitches (10) while only committing six errors for the season.
Eight Knights earned spots on the second team including postseason hero Ryan Gorton of Oregon State. Joining Gorton as second-team All-WCL selections were sophomore-to-be first baseman David Armendariz of Cal Poly, senior-to-be second baseman Corey Moore of PLU, sophomore-to-be starting pitcher Dylan Stuart of UC Riverside, junior-to-be starting pitcher Chris Johnson of University of Portland, junior-to-be starting pitcher Max Beatty of PLU, frosh-to-be starting pitcher Jace Fry of Oregon State and sophomore-to-be relief pitcher Ben Wetzler of Oregon State.
Corvallis was the most represented WCL team with eleven honorees.
Senior-to-be first baseman Sean Myrom of Concordia and sophomore-to-be third baseman Jimmy Allen of Cal Poly were named honorable mention All-WCL.
