April 17, 2009Summer Knights Ale Coming Soon
The Corvallis Knights and Block 15 unveiled plans to brew a new Summer Knights Ale to be poured at Goss Stadium and Block 15. The new Kolsch offering from Block 15 will be introduced at the Knights' home opener Tuesday, June 9 at Goss Stadium. Located in downtown Corvallis on 3rd and Jefferson, Block 15 Restaurant & Brewery is the Knights' inaugural beer partner.
The Knights will now feature a signature beer like their West Coast League rivals the Bend Elks who introduced Golden Glove Ale in 2005 in partnership with Cascade Lakes Brewing Company.
"We're thrilled to team up with a local brewery like Block 15. We are aligned in our vision and are both committed to bettering this community," said Corvallis Knights team president Dan Segel. "Block 15 is going to really add to the fun at Goss Stadium. Their beers are outstanding and I think our fans will enjoy our new Block 15 Thursdays this season."
Not only is the club annoucing its own unique beer, but the Knights are introducing a new season-long Thursday night promotion. This summer, fans can enjoy a discounted Block 15 beer at Block 15 Thursday presented by KLOO-FM. Five are scheduled this season with the first Block 15 Thursday slated for Thursday, June 11.
"We are very excited to provide great local brews at the Knights' games. The classic hot dog, great beer and baseball combination on a hot summer night just can't be beat," said Nick Arzner Owner/Operator of Block 15.
