Oregon State Frosh Posts .640 On Base Percentage

Corvallis Knights middle infielder Andy Atwood of Oregon State (pictured) was named WCL Player of the Week for June 13-19.

Atwood led the Knights to a 5-1 week, as the sophomore-to-be went 9-for-18, scored 7 runs, drew 9 walks, hit two doubles, collected 4 RBIs, posted a .640 on base percentage and played solid defense at shortstop and second base.

As of the first 15 league games, Atwood leads the team in hitting at .448, RBIs with 7 and walks with 9.

After a day off on Monday, the Knights resume WCL action tonight at Kelowna to start a three-game series with the Falcons.

Corvallis returns home for a Saturday, June 25th non-league game vs. the Hayesville Hammers on Salute to OSU Baseball: Andrew Susac Bobblehead Night.
