Strohmeyer to Manage Student Interns

Knights Name Stro Strohmeyer Director of Ballpark Operations.

Corvallis team president Dan Segel announced the hiring of Stro Strohmeyer to manage the team's event management staff. Strohmeyer will act as the team's first Director of Ballpark Operations. He is responsible for recruiting and managing the club's student interns and overseeing ballpark operations during the summer.

Assistant to the President Bre Kerkvliet, an OSU student and native of Corvallis, will help Stro with intern recruiting and also act as a supervisor at the park.

Both Stro and Bre are committed to keeping it fun at the expanded Goss Stadium this summer.

Strohmeyer worked with the team last year managing the ticket booth at Goss Stadium.

Stro is currently a house dad and resident advisor at Oregon State's Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

"We are going to benefit greatly from Stro's experience working with students, his range of business experiences and his event management and sales & marketing expertise. His maturity and temperament are perfect for the position and he has an excellent feel for the community," said Segel. "Stro's going to be an excellent teacher, I like to think of Stro as another head coach, and his players are our interns."

A graduate of Oregon State (1978), Stro is a father of two, Justin, a recent OSU grad, and Courtney, a senior at Crescent Valley High School.

Stro, age 54, has been a resident of Corvallis for over 30 years.
