The Knights offense banged out 14 hits and scored two key runs late. Only up a run in the ninth, with two outs, junior rightfielder Pat Colwell singled to center.
After Colwell advanced to second on a wild pitch, frosh centerfielder Brent Warren of Oregon State singled sharply to right.
2008 College World Series hero Steve Detwiler of Fresno State fielded the ball cleanly and threw a strike to home, but Colwell's slide evaded the Crab catcher's tag to put Corvallis ahead 6-4.
Warren advanced on the throw, advanced to third on a passed ball and scored the Knights' final run on an infield single by West Coast League batting leader Richie Jimenez of Riverside CC. The hit was Richie's third of the game.
Warren and Colwell both went 2-for-4.
Junior-to be DJ Gentile singled four times and junior third baseman Billy Clontz of Western Oregon went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Emmons pitched 5 innings to earn the win. Dustin allowed two runs on six hits.
Drew Leary of San Diego State retired the side in order in the ninth to record his first save as a Knight.
Corvallis and Humboldt wrap-up the two-game non-conference set tomorrow night at Arcata Baseball Park.
