Corvallis drops 2-1 heartbreaker at Kelowna in extras.

Starter Elliot Surrey (pictured) allowed one run over seven innings and punched out 7 in another steller performance, but the Knights lost in the 10th.

The Falcons (17-28 WCL) scored an unearned run off reliever Kevin Flemer to win the game and the series. Scotland Church led off with a single, was singled to second and then scored on a two-out throwing error.

Corvallis was held to just four hits by starter Caleb Olson and reliever Jacob Phillips, who went the final 2 2/3 innings to get the win. They combined for 11 strikeouts.

The Knights (32-17 all, 28-17 WCL) won the first four games of a 6-game swing through Brisish Columbia but dropped the final two to lose the series to the Falcons. They are a combined 3-6 against Kelowna and Kitsap, the last-place teams in the North and South divisions, respectively.

Corvallis got its lone run in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by Kevin Kline that scored Grant Melker. Only two other runners advanced to third base, and no one had more than one hit.

Flemer went 2 2/3 scoreless innings before losing on the unearned run. He had one strikeout.

The Knights return home on Friday and host the Falcons at 7:05 p.m. Saturday on a Kid's $1,000 Dash for Cash night, presented by Dr. Curtis E. Trammell. Righty Casey Bloomquist (4-0, 2.48) is their scheduled starter.
