Corvallis takes series at Kitsap, whitewashes BlueJackets 3-0.

Second-team All-Big West hurler Dustin Emmons (pictured) of UC Riverside tossed seven scoreless innings in his Knights debut to earn the win.

Emmons, soph southpaw Ben Guidos of University of Washington and frosh Nick Struck of Mt. Hood CC combined to throw a five-hit shutout at Kitsap. Guidos pitched an inning in his Corvallis debut setting the Jackets down in order and registering two strikeouts. Struck closed his second consecutive game and pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his first save as a Knight.

Soph leftfielder Dylan Jones of Mt. Hood CC led the offense with two hits and a RBI. Fellow outfielders Billy Clontz of Western Oregon and Brent Warren of Oregon State also collected 2 hits.

Clontz doubled and scored in the fourth-inning.

Sophomore catcher Matt Parker of San Diego State continued to play solid defense throwing out two base runners.

The Knights' defense has played errorless ball in the series.

With the win, the Knights improve their overall and WCL record to 5-3.

Frosh right-hander Matt Andriese of UC Riverside, tomorrow's probable starter, makes his Corvallis debut vs. Kitsap as the Knights go for the series sweep Wednesday night.
