Post baffles Elks, Knights win regular season finale at Vince Genna 9-3.

Jordan Post (pictured) of PLU earned the complete game win and Corvallis salvaged the series finale. Post also collected the game-winning hit with a two-run single in the third.

The Knights finish the WCCBL regular season 27-15 in league and 36-17 overall.

On Sunday evening at Vince Genna Stadium, Corvallis banged out 10 hits and 9 runs. Mark Samuelson of UC Riverside, Nick Akins of Riverside CC and Matt Wyckoff of George Fox collected two hits each. Akins and Wyckoff both scored 3 runs.

Post was an emergency starter. The junior-to be at PLU kept the Elks off balance all night and earned the critical win saving Knights pitching for its crucial Divisional Series with the BlueJackets.

Corvallis now heads to Kitsap with a win and will start right-hander Eric Massingham of Cal Poly SLO in game one.
