Knights even series with 11-2 win at Bend.

Daniel Dillard (pictured) of Western Oregon blasted a two-run homer and stole home to lead Corvallis.

Dillard delivered the game-winning hit in the second inning as the rightfielder crushed a two-run home run to put the Knights up 2-0.

Leftfielder David Andriese of UC Riverside pushed the lead to 4-0 with a monster two-run homer to right in the fourth inning.

Starter Kyle Kraus of University of Portland tossed six solid innings to earn his league-leading 5th win.

Bend scored two runs in the sixth to make the score 5-2. But The Knights separated from the Elks in the eighth with three runs. The first scored on a two-out bases loaded steal of home by Dillard. Pinch-hitter Thomas McCarthy, a junior-to-be at Kentucky, then singled home two runs to give Corvallis an 8-2 advantage.

Reliever John Pecoraro of San Diego State tossed two scoreless innings and Michael Blake, a junior-to-be at Hawaii, finished the game retiring the Elks in order in the ninth.

The Knights banged out 13 hits. Frosh Mitch Haniger of Cal Poly went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two stolen bases.

The rubber game is set for Saturday night at Vince Genna Stadium. Game time is 6:35 pm.

Evan Brock of UC Irvine is slated to start, his first appearance since returning from the Team USA trials.
