Corvallis scored three runs in the first and held on to win at Arcata Baseball Park in front of 842 eclectic and boisterous Crabs' fans.

Knights' pitching cracked the Crabs as starter Eddie Orozco of UC Riverside tossed four solid innings giving up only one run.

Nick Hoover of UC Irvine returned from injury to pitch for the first time in weeks and tossed one scoreless inning and struck out three Crustaceans.

Kalush pitched 2 2/3 innings of scoreless ball and has now pitched 22 1/3 innings without giving up an earned run.

Junior right-hander Drew Leary recorded the game's final out to register his second save, both vs. the Crabs.

Five Knights' collected two hits a piece including Clontz, Brent Warren of OSU, Josh Hogan of Oregon, DJ Gentile of Cal Poly and Rocky Gale of University of Portland.

Clontz started at shortstop and Gale at third for the first time this season.
