Corvallis beats Bend 7-2 before a Goss crowd of 1,531, Knights win 14th WCL series.

Brent Warren (pictured) of Oregon State went 3-for-4 as the Knights finished the regular season 28-2 at home with a victory over the Elks.

The Knights beat Bend 7-2 in its final regular season home game before a festive crowd of 1,531 at Goss Stadium. The win improved the Knights overall record to 46-10 and league mark to 37-10.

For the regular season, Corvallis drew 27,276 for an average of 909 fans per game.

Billy Clontz of Western Oregon and Richie Jimenez of Riverside CC both delivered RBI doubles and Doug Cherry of UW went 2-for-4 with a double and Warren 3-for-4 to lead the Knights offense.

Starter Ben Guidos of University of Washington tossed four innings of one-hit shutout ball.

Reliever Dylan Jones of Mt. Hood CC tossed two innings to earn the win.

Drew Leary of San Diego State finished the game striking out the side.

Slugger Taylor Ard of Mt. Hood CC collected his team-leading 38th and 39th RBI.

Corvallis and Bend wrap the regular season Sunday at Vince Genna Stadium. Game time is 5:05 pm.

On Tuesday, the Knights and Elks open their best-of-three WCL West Divisional Series at Vince Genna Stadium in Bend. Game time is 6:35 pm.

Game two is at Goss Stadium on Wednesday, August 12th. It's BI-MART 2 for 1 Night and $1 Hot Dog Night at the ballpark.
