Dean Green of Oklahoma State went 3 for 4 with three singles including a second-inning RBI single. The frosh from Tulsa reached base four times.
Junior-to be Adam Melker of Cal Poly stayed hot as the left-handed hitting outfielder singled in a run in the 5th and doubled in a run in the 6th.
Corvallis scored 4 runs in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie.
Jon Berger of San Diego State pitched a scoreless 7th and Josh Osich of Oregon State tossed a scoreless eighth.
Wenatchee's Brad Padia, a frosh-to be at University of San Diego, blasted a solo homerun off senior-to be reliever James McLaughlin of San Diego State in the 9th.
Junior-to be shortstop Doug Cherry of University of Washington delivered the game-winning hit with a RBI double in the 6th to put Corvallis up 3-2. Cherry went 3 for 5 on the night.
With the victory, the Knights took the regular season series from Wenatchee. For the first time, the Knights beat the AppleSox in a regular season series in the WCCBL.
The Knights' 28th WCCBL victory sets a new franchise single-season WCCBL wins record. The Knights won 27 WCCBL games in 2007 (27-15) and in 2005 (27-9).
Corvallis is now 32-14 overall and 28-10 in league.
The rubber match is set for Wednesday night at 7 pm at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.
