Corvallis extends win streak to 8 with 9-6 win at Kelowna.

Outfielder Michael Blake (pictured), a junior-to-be at Hawaii, went 3-for-5 with a game-winning three-run double.

The Knights offense overcame three deficits at Kelowna to beat the Falcons 9-6 and improve their WCL record to 25-14.

Corvallis collected 13 hits. Blake banged out two doubles and delivered the game-winner in the sixth inning as the sophomore from Mt. Hood CC cleared the bases with a two-base hit to right-center to put the Knights up 8-5.

Junior rightfielder Daniel Dillard of Western Oregon went 3-for-4 with a RBI and junior first baseman Dylan Jones of OSU and junior-to-be Thomas McCarthy of Kentucky both knocked in two runs.

Reliever Max Beatty of Pacific Lutheran picked up his second win in his second appearance with the Knights as the frosh tossed 1 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball.

Dean McArdle of Stanford recorded the save as the frosh right-hander tossed three innings and allowed only one unearned run while striking out 4.

Corvallis and Kelowna play game two of the series Wednesday night at Elks Stadium in Kelowna. Game time is 7:05 pm.
