Last place Bells stun Knights with walk-off HR.

Bellingham's Jacob Clem of UW blasted a two-out solo homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the Bells the 1-0 win. Corvallis had a chance to take the lead in the top half of the ninth after Jim Murphy of WSU walked and Jake Roy of Dakota Wesleyan reached on a bunt base hit.

With runners at first and second and no outs, Drew Garcia of UC Riverside was unable to advance the runners as Garcia fouled off three pitches trying to sacrifice bunt. Matt Wyckoff of George Fox followed by hitting into a fielder's choice. After Wyckoff stole second, pinch-hitter Jordan Post of PLU struckout ending the threat.

The Knights wasted an outstanding starting performance by frosh southpaw Blake Keitzman (pictured) of Oregon State. Keitzman tossed eight scoreless innings and gave way to Brad Kidd in the ninth. Kidd retired the first two batters before giving up Clem's game-winning blast to deep leftfield.

The series rubber match is scheduled for Tuesday night at 7 pm at Joe Martin Field.

With the loss, Corvallis drops to 28-14 overall and 20-12 in league.
