Corvallis edges Kitsap 5-4 to earn series sweep.Future Cal Poly Mustang Scott Ogrin's two-run double proved to be the difference as the Knights finished their first homestand 5-1 with the win.

Ogrin also turned in a spectacular play at shortstop and played solid defense as Corvallis was flawless in the field.

Southpaw Aaron Pope of Dixie State picked up his first win as a Knight. The junior-to-be went 5 2/3 innings in this third start of the summer.

The Knights bullpen shined on Father's Day with left-handers Ryley Widell and Chase Kaplan closing things out. Kaplan, a Kansas commit, tossed a perfect ninth to earn his third save. Widell pitched two innings and struck out three while walking one and allowing a hit and no runs.

Pope's teammate at Dixie State, Tanner Howell, pitched out of trouble in the sixth to keep the Knights ahead 5-4.

Corvallis erased a 2-1 deficit in the third. Catcher Zak Taylor of Oregon Sate delivered the game-winner with a RBI single to put the Knights up 3-2.

The Knights have an off-day tomorrow before heading to Kelowna for a three-game series with the Falcons June 21-23.

A crowd of 1,545 came out to see the Knights sweep the BlueJackets and improve to 9-6 in the West Coast League.
