Humboldt snaps Knights' six-game win streak, Crabs whitewash Corvallis 1-0 at Arcata Baseball Park.

Southpaw Jared Eskew (pictured) of Cal Poly tossed 5 shutout innings for Corvallis. The senior-to be from Bakersfield struck out six and did not figure in the decision. Jared has posted the league's lowest ERA at 0.96.

Right-hander Kirby Morsching of South Dakota State threw a complete game shutout for Humboldt scattering 9 hits.

The Crabs broke a scoreless tie in the ninth as Humboldt delivered back-to-back-to-back singles after reliever David Stilley recorded the first two outs of the inning.

Stilley got the loss as the frosh southpaw gave up three consecutive hard hit singles that resulted in the game's only run.

Relievers Anthony Carrillo of Long Beach State, Greg Bobnick of Western Oregon and Michael Cusick of Western Oregon each threw a scoreless inning of relief.

The play of the game was made by Oregon State leftfielder Michael Miller of the Crabs as Miller dove to rob Kyle Stalker of Willamette of a certain two-run double in the fifth inning.

The Knights and Crabs get back after it Tuesday night at 7 pm at Arcata Baseball Park.
