Corvallis sweeps Kitsap to win the West.

Starting pitcher Daniel Bibona (pictured) of UC Irvine earned the 3-1 win before 501 spirited fans at Goss Stadium. The victory extended the Knights win streak to 7 and improved its overall record to 35-15 and league mark to 26-13. With the win, Corvallis is assured of finishing in first place in the WCCBL's Western Division.

The Knights swept the season's six-game series with Kitsap. It's likely the two teams will meet again Monday in Silverdale, Washington for game one of the league's Western Division Series. Bend would have to sweep Corvallis and Spokane would have to sweep Kitsap in Silverdale for the Elks to earn the division's second playoff spot.

Corvallis scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings.

Relievers Mike Cusick of Western Oregon, Brett Brunner of PLU, Kevin Castner of Cal Poly SLO and Kyle Cruikshank of Golden West held the Knights 3-1 lead and Corvallis swept Kitsap at home.

The Knights travel to Bend Friday to wrap its regular season with a three-game series at Vince Genna Stadium.

The entire series will be broadcast on 990 AM The Legend. Mike Parker, the voice of the Beavers and Knights, calls all the action.
