Season tickets for the 2016 season go on sale at noon on Thursday. We will play 34 home games in 32 dates this summer, starting in early June.

Tickets may be purchased over the phone at 541-752-5656; by e-mail at [email protected], or online by clicking here. Current season-ticket holders can reserve their same seats by purchasing before Dec. 31.

Due to increased attendance and reserved seating demand in 2015, sections F, G and 5 at Goss Stadium will now become reserved seats. To review the 2016 schedule, please click here.

We are looking for a high-energy, engaging, business-minded, tech-savvy individual to fill a part-time or full-time ticketing position through the 2016 season.

We hope to hire a Ticketing Manager for the 2016 campaign by the end of the year. This could be up to a 40-hour per week position that begins in January and runs through the end of August. Attendance at all 2016 games is mandatory.

The Yakima Pippins have named manager Marcus McKimmy as their new assistant general manager and director of baseball operations, general manager Jeff Garretson announced. He will also remain the team's field manager.

McKimmy's promotion completes the Pippins front-office staff. In September, Andy Jones joined the team as ticket sales and service manager, and retail summer intern Ashley Steffens was hired as retail and office manager in a part-time capacity.

Irvine's Bishop, Kreuter, Martin to return in 2016

More signings to announce, with some familiar names on the list.

President Dan Segel announced Thursday the signing of sophomore first baseman/pitcher Cameron Bishop, sophomore infielder Cole Kreuter,redshirt sophomore pitcher Michael Martin and freshman left-handed pitcher Miles Glazier of UC-Irvine for the upcoming season. Bishop, Kreuter and Martin are returners from 2015.

Bishop hit .245 (23-94) in 31 games, with 15 doubles and 15 RBIs, for the Knights last summer. He was also 0-1, 3.96 in 10 games as a pitcher, with 35 strikeouts in 25 innings.

Kreuter hit .248 (27-109) in 44 games, with no homers and 11 RBIs. Farris hit .258 (39-151), with five homers and 27 RBIs in 44 games. Martin was 1-3, 13.17 in 11 games, with six strikeouts in 13.2 innings in his first action since recovering from an arm injury that plagued him in the 2014 and 2015 college seasons.

All stats are for West Coast League games only.

Glazier is a 5-foot-11 lefty from San Marino High School in San Marino, Calif. He was all-CIF and all-state selection after going 11-1, 0.86 in 2014, with four saves and 80 strikeouts in 74 innings.

He was named the team's Most Valuable Player and garnered all-Rio Hondo League and all-area honors as a junior.

"Miles reminds us a lot of Elliot Surrey, " the UCI senior who was our Outstanding Pitcher in 2013, UCI assistant coach Ben Orloff said. "He is a big-time winner in every sense of the word. Miles has all of the intangibles to come in and compete for meaningful innings right away."

It's a Friday, so it's time to update the stats of our three alums in the Arizona Fall League.

* Pitcher Greg Mahle (2012, Angels) has recovered nicely from a horrible start and is 0-1, 10.80 in 8.1 innings over eight games with the Mesa Solar Sox, with 11 strikeouts. He finished the 2015 season at Arkansas in the double-A Southern League after starting the season in the high-A California League.

* Outfielder Nick Torres (2012, Padres) is hitting .278 (15-54) in 13 games with the Peoria Javelinas, with two homers and six RBIs. He finished the story with Lake Elsinore in the high-A California League after starting the year with Fort Wayne in the low-A Midwest League.

* Catcher Chris Rabago (2012, 2013, Rockies) is hitting .294 (5-17) with a double in five games with the Salt River Rafters. He finished the season with Grad Junction in the rookie-level Pioneer League. We will update their stats every Friday during the season.

The Bellingham Bells have hired Levi Stewart, a 2014 sport management graduate from Washington State and a Sedro Woolley, Wash., native, as their new Sales & Marketing Coordinator. Stewart becomes the third full-time staff member in the team's front office.

Derrick Mahlum returning to Knights

Another signing to announce, and it's a good one.

Right-handed pitcher Derrick Mahlum, a redshirt sophomore from Pacific Lutheran who played for us in 2014, will return for the 2016 season. He missed the entire college and summer season in 2015 while recovering from an arm injury.

A 6-foot-3, 185-pounder from Mill Creek, Wash., Derrick was 2-1 with a 4.60 ERA for the Knights in seven starts in 2014, with 25 strikeouts in 29.1 innings. He was a second-team Northwest Conference all-star as a freshman in 2014, when he was 7-3, 2.28 in 11 games, with 77 strikeouts in 71 innings while helping to lead the Lutes to the NCAA tournament.

He's another in a line of PLU pitchers to play for the Knights, joining Max Beatty (2010-12), Chris Bishop (2012-14), Jake Otness (2014) and Cory Nelson (2015), among others. Welcome back to the team, Derrick!

Congrats to the Kansas City Royals for winning their second World Series. There is a slight Knights-Royals connection; Kansas City manager Ned Yost's son, Ned Yost III, played for the Knights in 2002 after his freshman year at the University of Georgia.

"He is a super-nice kid ... I imagine he enjoyed seeing his dad win the title last night," Knights' president Dan Segel said.

The Walla Walla Sweets have signed incoming Baylor freshman Cody Moos and freshman Kai Gomez for the 2016 season. Moos is a 6-foot 1-inch, 170-pound lefty from Medina Valley High School in Castroville, Texas. Gomez is a 5-8-inch, 150-pound second baseman from San Fernando HS in Agoura Hills, Calif.

Alum Matt Boyd earns MiLB award

Alum Matt Boyd (2010), a left-handed pitcher who played for us after his freshman year at Oregon State, was the fans choice for the Minor League Starting Pitcher of the Year, as awarded by the MiLB.com website.

Boyd had a great season for New Hampshire in the double-A Eastern League and with Buffalo in the triple-A International League while playing in the Toronto organization. He made it to the majors with the Blue Jays, and then was traded to Detroit and finished the season with the Tigers.

He was a combined 9-2 in 18 games, with 107 strikeouts in 112.2 innings. Here are more details, from the MiLB.com website. Congrats to Matt!

Our latest additions are junior Trenton Dupre and freshman Ryley Widell, a pair of left-handed pitchers from Washington State.

Dupre is 5-foot-9, 180-pounder from Davis High School in Yakima who transferred from Murray State College in Tishomingo, Okla. He was 8-3, 3.84 in 15 games in 2015, with 74 strikeouts in 77.1 innings. He was 8-1, 2.84 in 2014, with 51 strikeouts in 66.2 innings over 13 appearances.

Widell is a 6-4, 195-pounder from King Kekaulike HS in Haiku, Hawaii. Welcome to the team, guys!

Knights add WOU pitcher Jacob Fricke

Our latest addition is pitcher Jacob Fricke, a freshman left-handed pitcher at Western Oregon who played at Glide High School. A 6-foot-4, 240-pounder, he was 12-0 with a 0.19 ERA in 2015, with 139 strikeouts and just nine walks in 74.2 innings pitched. Opponents hit just .106 off Fricke.

A four-year letterman, he was 34-2 in his career, with a 0.81 ERA and 358 strikeouts and just 46 walks in 208 innings. He also played basketball and goalie for the soccer team at GHS. Welcome to the team, Jacob!

Knights release 2016 schedule

Our schedule for the 2016 season is finalized. We will have 34 home games and 61 total games, starting on June 1 with our annual exhibition game against the Portland Sea Dogs at Goss Stadium on Science, Engineering & Art Day.

Our West Coast League opener is June 3 against the defending-champion Bend Elks at Vince Genna Stadium. We play our first nine games on the road (just in case the Beavers need Goss for NCAA regionals), so our WCL home opener is June 14 against the Kelowna Falcons, who lost to Bend in the WCL Championship Series.

All told we have 32 home dates and 34 home games, as we will play two doubleheaders. We will play 27 home league games and 27 away league games, and play every league opponent three times each.

The league has reverted to two divisions; we are in the South with Bend, Gresham, Yakima Valley, Kitsap and Cowlitz. The North will include Bellingham, Wenatchee, Walla Walla, Victoria and Kelowna.

Our big Oregon State Credit Union Fireworks Night will be July 2 this year, as we are idle on July 3-5, a nice break. The final regular-season home game is Aug. 4; we close the regular season at Cowlitz on Aug. 7.

Knights add Nobach, three other Beavers for 2016

The Knights have signed four players from Oregon State for the 2016 season. The newest Knights/Beavers are:

* Junior outfielder Kyle Nobach of Marysville High School in Marysville, Wash.

* Freshman infielder Andy Atwood of O'Dea High School in Everett, Wash.

* Freshman outfielder Steven Kwan of Fremont High School in Fremont, Calif.

* Freshman utility player Zak Taylor of Sherwood High School in Sherwood, Ore.

"These players all fit the Knights' profile," said OSU assistant coach Andy Jenkins, a former Aloha Knights player (2004) and Corvallis Knights assistant coach (2012). "I have a pretty good feel for the type of player who can be successful with the Knights, having played and coached for them.

"They will be a great addition to the team, be outstanding teammates, play hard and help the Knights succeed."

Gresham has been added to the West Coast League for the 2016 season. The to-be-named team will play its home games at Mt. Hood Community College, the West Coast League announced Friday. Here is more on that story, from the WCL website.

Alum Brandon Jackson released

The Lake Erie Crushers of the independent Frontier League have released alum Brandon Jackson (2012), a right-handed pitcher who played for us after his junior year at Oregon State. He did not appear in a game. The Crushers are located in Avon, Ohio.

The Bellingham Bells have promoted Mike Gange to head coach, the team announced. He served as an assistant coach for the Bells during the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

A native of Marysville, Wash., Gange had a successful prep baseball career at Marysville-Pilchuck High School and then went on to play at Everett Community College and Western Oregon University. While at Western Oregon University, Gange played second base and was named to the GNAC All-Conference Academic Team. Gange also helped lead the Wolves to two league titles and a regional tournament appearance.

Gange will assume head coaching duties immediately. He will be joined on staff by pitching coach and recruiting coordinator Jim Clem and assistant coach Dane Siegfried. Gange replaces Jeff James, who managed the Bells in 2014 and 2015 before resigning recently to spend more time with his family and young daughter.

Knights sign top UC Riverside freshman

The Knights have signed freshman left-handed pitcher Hazahel Soto Quijada of UC-Riverside for the 2016 season. He played at San Gorgonio High School in San Bernardino, Calif.

He was All-CIF Division 4, the San Andreas League MVP, the San Bernardino County MVP, a 2015 Perfect Game honorable-mention All-American and a Cal-Hi all-state medium school selection. He also played in the Scout League All-Star Game.

Alum Matt Boyd (2010) of the Detroit Tigers in a finalist for the MILB Top Starter of the Year Award after a great season with New Hampshire and Buffalo in the Toronto organization.

Alum Taylor Ard (2009) was voted the No. 6 prospect in the Frontier League by Baseball America after an MVP season with the River City (Mo.) Rascals. He has since signed with the Miami Marlins.

Knights sign catcher from Arizona Central

The Knights have signed redshirt sophomore catcher Brent Gibbs of Arizona Central JC for the 2016 season. He's a 6-foot-1, 220-pound transfer from Indiana University who redshirted for the Hoosiers in 2014.

Gibbs was an all-Illinois performer also tabbed as three-time All-Southwestern Conference and The Telegraph Player of the Year twice at Alton High School in Alton, Ill., before signing with Indiana. He hit .412 with 33 RBIs, 22 doubles and a .562 on-base percentage and was the team MVP as a senior.

He owns the school record for most doubles in a season and for career RBIs, and he led Alton to a regional championship.

Returnee Dakody Clemmer of Central Arizona College, a sophomore right-handed pitcher from Vancouver, Wash., has committed to Nevada and will sign a letter of intent with the Wolfpack next month.

"I'm excited to be a part of their program and for the opportunity Nevada has given me," Clemmer said. "I just want to continue to get better here at Central every day and hopefully compete for a championship."

He was 3-1, 2.98 in 14 games for the Knights in 2015, with 33 strikeouts in a team-high 51.1 innings. He was 6-3, 3.38 at CAC in 2015, with 51 strikeouts in 66.2 innings.

"Dakody has worked very hard over the summer and this fall to get this opportunity and I'm sure [Nevada's coaches] will be very pleased to have him in their program," CAC head coach Anthony Gilich said.

Added Central Arizona pitching coach Jerry A'Hearn: "He has a unique skillset, a good arm and I believe he is going to continue getting better."
